Complex yet fine, our 2010 Chardonnay is all about generous, ripe nectarine and melon fruit flavours balanced by fresh natural acid. The fruit was harvested early for freshness with careful barrel fermentation/maturation ensuring oak plays a subtle support role. Long in mineral-like flavour. This is the sort of Chardonnay we seek to make….. and drink.

A 50%/50% Henty/Ballarat blend from two of the coolest, if not the coolest, regions on the Australian mainland. The picking and making decisions are akin to walking on eggshells, and Scott Ireland has succeeded in doing so, with this feather-light white peach fruit, the oak in unison. Winery Tasting Notes
Brilliant pale straw with a green hue.
The very fine and elegant nose displays floral and citrus aromas coupled with a subtle almond-like oak character. A creamy yeast lees influence adds further complex character to the bouquet.
True to the fruit aromas the flavours are pretty and fresh. Citrus and white peach characters are beautifully balanced leading to a rich yet fine, integrated long finish. A pristine, generously flavoured fine wine.
