The Port Phillip Estate Red Hill vineyard is located on the Mornington Peninsula on Eocene volcanic soils. The wines are made from domain grown, handpicked grapes and aim to manifest terroir: the integration of the geology and soils with the macroclimate of the region, the mesoclimates of the various sites within the vineyard and the weather of the annual grape growing season. The cultural operations in the vineyard and practices in the winery endeavour to articulate these unique characteristics diligently, respectfully and without artifice.

Winery Tasting Notes
The 2014 Port Phillip Chardonnay is aromatically complex with fruit notes of nectarine and white peach that meld with the more savoury scents of cashew and flint.
The palate is intensely citrus in flavour - mainly grapefruit and lemon - and is long and driven. A dense, chalky texture leads into a powerful finish.
It should continue to evolve gracefully for a number of years in the cellar.
