The cool viticulture climate of Tasmania provides the ideal balance of fruit retention, acid depth, and mineral edge that helps us achieve our chosen style, Which is mostly sourced from a single vineyard block planted in 1974 at our original Pipers Brook vineyard in northeast Tasmania, along with a small percentage of fruit taken from our vineyards in the Tamar Valley region.

Pale, lemon with a hint of soft rose petal pink
Gewürztraminer perfumes best in the coolest of climates giving distinctive maritime class. The aromas are vibrant and lifted; displaying rose water, dragon’s eye fruit, crystallized ginger, beeswax and bursting with lemon verbena. Exotic fruits and oriental spice perfumes the variety with an unforgettable aroma that tends to captivate and overpower your senses with it delicacy and alluring charm.
A seductive wine offering delicacy and weight, with depth and flavour that lingers and lingers. The palate is full and vibrant, crisp and mineralized dry, it has appealing textural balance and subtle quinine bitterness that provides just the right level of mouth feel and flavour to beautifully integrate with the rich exotic tropical fruits; longan also known as dragon’s eye fruit, papaya, mango, kumquat, crystallized ginger and the confectionery delights that provide a sensory adventure for your palate to enjoy.

Versatile and allows it to match with an array of spicy foods – Thai crab wontons, or red fish curry, ravioli stuffed with shrimp, roast duckling. Gewürztraminer matches well with an array of Thai and oriental style cuisines.
