Winery Tasting Notes
The colour is a pale delicate straw with green tints.
On the nose it has fresh aromas of lemon sherbet with floral undertones and a touch of herbaceousness.
The palate is very clean with zesty lime/citrus flavours and shows an attractive acidity on the finish.
Semillon is the ‘must have’ wine in the fridge! A delicious aperitif, and is a perfect accompaniment to smoked salmon, fresh asparagus, Caesar Salad, creamy soups and pasta dishes.
After a short burst of heat in late January and early February the weather settled down and was warm and stable throughout February and March producing delicate white wines of exceptional quality.The fruit was picked early, crushed, chilled and the juice separated immediately from the skins to enhance delicacy. Following cold fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine was clarified and bottled.
