Tomatin whisky is created just south of Inverness, the capital of the Scottish highlands in one of the highest distilleries in Scotland. The soft, crystal clear waters running through the Monadhliath Mountains help to create a delicate yet rich and mellow highland malt. Each of the Tomatin range has been internationally acclaimed with top prizes at world spirits competitions. A proud testimony to the art of distilling.

Limited Release This unique single malt has been crafted using Tomatin malts whiskies which have been aged for between 21 – 24 years. The use of both North American and European oak casks help to give this whisky a lovely balanced feel. The master distiller has selected whiskies matured in re fill casks as he wanted this superb 21 year old to display all the natural characteristics associated with Tomatin. This is a unique product, bottled in limited quantities and once the stock is gone the consumer will never get the chance to taste it again. Cask no.s 31648 to 31654; a combination of European & North American Oak Casks: 6 ex bourbon casks & 1 refill Sherry butt.

Date distilled: various Age of youngest casks used was 21 years old at the time of bottling. The whiskies used in this bottling range from 21 to 24 years old.

Matured in: A combination of European & North American Oak Casks.

Date bottled: 01 December 2009.

Aroma: Delicate, flowery aromas to begin with, giving way to aniseed, old leather and pipe tobacco.

Palate: Rosewater, aniseed and white grape juice.

Finish: Warm and zingy with a dry, oaky spiciness.
