This is our 30th release of this classic Aussie blend.

The signature wine of Passing Clouds, the Graeme's Blend has a rich history. Bendigo's climate provides the perfect condition for the creation of this blend - we believe the region is better suited for Shiraz Cabernet, than anywhere else.

Expert Reviews

Deep crimson; sweet mulberry, sage and a dollop of licorice are evident on the bouquet; medium-bodied, soft and fleshy on the palate with an easy going personality and vibrancy to conclude. Rating 90 - Drink by 2018 - Ben Edwards, Australian Wine Companion (Feb/2012)

Winery Tasting Notes

The deep red purple colour is the first indication of this wine's power.

The aroma is complex with red and black fruit, floral and spice notes.

These flow on to the powerful yet balanced palate which demonstrates juicy primary fruit and dark berries, fine tannins engaging length and great structure.

Drink to 2020. Should be enjoyed from a Decanter.

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

Originally established in 1974 by Graeme Leith and Sue Mackinnon, Passing Clouds at Bendigo is in a low rainfall area and the site was chosen to make great red wine with the lowest chemical inputs possible. No pesticides or insecticides are ever used in the vineyard. These practices are followed in our new cool climate vineyard at Musk, just outside of Daylesford in the Macedon Ranges. It is currently producing stunning pinot, chardonnay and sparkling. The winery has consistently produced medal winning wines with deep colours, rich flavours and a unique structure with excellent mouthfeel that place them with the very best Australian red wines. For instance Graeme’s Blend 2005 rates 93 points in James Halliday’s Wine Companion.
