The Peninsula or 'PE' label represents the first tier in the Paringa Estate range. In recent years Paringa has renewed its focus in ensuring the Peninsula range over delivers on quality, this Chardonnay is no exception.
- VIC - Mornington Peninsula
Identical making to Estate except no new oak and different vineyards; an exercise in vibrant freshness when 2yo, the journey barely begun. But there's no mistaking the pent-up energy in its grapefruit/stone fruit flavour profile, not its natural acidity. Oak? Yes, it's there, but not a feature. James Halliday, Rating 92, 27th July 2015
Winery Tasting Notes
The bouquet of this wine has citrus, melon and fresh cut peach aromas.
The palate has similar ripe stone fruit flavours, nice texture and a persistent finish.
This is a lovely fresh wine that has been made for current drinking, but will build further complexity with 3 to 5 years cellaring.
