The 2010 vintage is considered exceptional. Warm and dry conditions through flowering ensured good berry set. Average temperatures during February / March provided long and even ripening and allowed for fruit to be picked at optimal maturity.
The majority of fruit for this wine (56%) came from our ‘Thacore vineyard’ with the remainder from our ‘Schepisi vineyard’ (32%) and ‘Estate vineyard’ (12%).

Winery Tasting Notes
Whole bunch fruit was pressed to tank and then barrel fermented in French oak barriques, 30% of which were new. Barrel maturation took place on lees over the next ten months during which the chardonnay was stirred fortnightly.
The complex bouquet shows peach, pear flesh, almond / pistachio nougat and citrus blossom.
The palate is integrated with white cream, toasty oak and a fine acid line.
