This is a distinctive wine style for which Australia is famous. Some of the Cabernet Sauvignon fruit is sourced from vines that were planted over 40 years ago, and this has contributed to the wine's intense flavour and structure. Shiraz has helped fill out the middle palate and has added richness to the blend.

Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Winery Tasting Notes

Deep ruby purple with hints of crimson.

This wine displays lifted Cabernet aromas of blackcurrent, tomato leaf and plums with suggestions of blackberries, cedar and violets.

The palate is elegantly structured with layers of berry fruits, anise and fruit pastille. Shiraz adds a silky texture and sweetness to the mid palate whilst the Cabernet provides structure and a soft tannin finish. Synergy and elegance.

Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.

Oxford Landing Estates was established in 1958 on the banks of the mighty Murray River in South Australia amidst bountiful sunshine, vivid blue skies and plenty of red Riverland soil.

From planting vines to making wines, Oxford Landing Estates takes great pride in their people – some having spent their whole life on the Murray. They are part of a community who are unashamedly passionate about the vineyards, grapes and working together to ensure the wine going into the bottle is what they envisaged.

“Our group of dedicated vineyard staff live on-site and nearby. It’s their care and attention to detail that sets the basis for Oxford Landing Estates wine quality,” says Vineyard Manager Robert ‘Fred’ Strachan.
