Overview

A backyard game of boules, watching the sun set over the Indian Ocean (well we are from WA!), a long lunch under the trees on a warm afternoon … nothing calls out Summer Party like our crisp, dry Omrah Rosé. This is definitely a wine to enjoy with a group of close friends. So kick off your shoes, wriggle your toes in the sand, turn your face to the sun (not forgetting the factor 30 of course!) and toast the summer.

Winery Tasting Notes

Aroma/Palate

Open Omrah Rosé and discover a vibrant wine full of red cherry aromas coupled with ripe strawberry and raspberry flavours. A savoury edge and crisp acidity give the wine a refreshingly dry finish.

Food Matching

Looking for an easy rule of thumb when matching food with a Rosé wine? Serve it either with something pink, or traditional food from Provence – think crayfish salad, smoked salmon and ripe strawberries or crusty bread and salads with plenty of fresh herbs, garlic and olive oil.

Then again, just be adventurous… we think Omrah Rosé and Asian cuisine is match made in heaven.

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

Omrah is the pure taste of the Great Southern region. For the wine drinker who loves to discover something different and a little special, Omrah is pure wine drinking pleasure from the pristine southern tip of Western Australia.

Omrah was named after a vineyard, which was named after a boat! The SS Omrah brought passengers from England to Albany in the Great Southern region of Western Australia in the early 1900’s. One of the early passengers decided to pay homage to the ship by naming his property Omrah. Vines were later planted on the property and the first Omrah wine was made with chardonnay purchased from the Omrah Vineyard in 1989.

Omrah was the first chardonnay in Australia made with no oak (yes, in 1989 unoaked chardonnay was a little out there!). However, the style caught on and today wine lovers all over the world love the crisp fresh taste of unoaked chardonnay. Now more than 20 years on, Omrah has a stylish new label and an energetic young team with a passion for the Great Southern region. Open Omrah and you can trust that the occasion just became special…
