Balanced acidity and fine tannins reveal a wine of vibrancy and elegance.

Food Matching

Traditionally a lighter style red wine Pinot Noir is full of ripe berry fruits and spicy flavours. Classic matches with Pinot Noir include duck and game, dark fruits like black cherries, plums or figs and aromatic spices. Rich, dark and spicy! Our suggestion – Omrah Pinot Noir and crispy duck pancakes of course.

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

Omrah is the pure taste of the Great Southern region. For the wine drinker who loves to discover something different and a little special, Omrah is pure wine drinking pleasure from the pristine southern tip of Western Australia.

Omrah was named after a vineyard, which was named after a boat! The SS Omrah brought passengers from England to Albany in the Great Southern region of Western Australia in the early 1900’s. One of the early passengers decided to pay homage to the ship by naming his property Omrah. Vines were later planted on the property and the first Omrah wine was made with chardonnay purchased from the Omrah Vineyard in 1989.

Omrah was the first chardonnay in Australia made with no oak (yes, in 1989 unoaked chardonnay was a little out there!). However, the style caught on and today wine lovers all over the world love the crisp fresh taste of unoaked chardonnay. Now more than 20 years on, Omrah has a stylish new label and an energetic young team with a passion for the Great Southern region. Open Omrah and you can trust that the occasion just became special…
