Fruit is sourced from two sub regions within the Clare Valley. The organically certified 'Doctor's block' is located in the polish Hill River Region, a superior cool climate vineyard which is dry grown and low yielding. The Armagh vineyard produces fruit from 50 year old dry grown vines.
The result is an elegantly perfumed wine, with a beautiful fruit concentration and fine grain tannins.

From the Armagh and Polish Hill River districts; matured in French oak. The colour isn't particularly auspicious, and there are no great surprises to be had with either the bouquet or palate; yes, you can tell it's cabernet, but it's not going to launch a 1000 ships. Winery Tasting Notes
Deep, rich ruby red with purple hues.
Perfumed with blackcurrant cassis and a hint of cedar and spice from premium French oak.
The contrasting influences of the two sub regions produce a great synergy, with this comes a balanced elegant wine. It displays long fine grain tannins, giving it real texture and gorgeous chalkiness. The depth of rich berry fruit concentration and the length of natural acidity are generous and appealing.
