Winery Tasting Notes
Deep, dark red with purple hues
Perfume with blackcurrant, cassis and juicy berry fruits. Hint of cedar and spice
The contrasting influences of the two sub regions produce a great synergy. Fine tannin and acid structure give great depth and length with powerful fruit of blueberry and violets. This wine displays real Cabernet character, which is a style the Clare Valley has done well for many years. ***** Cassis and blueberry fruits, the palate is rich and powerful. Acidity and fine grain tannin balance the wine with French oak and juicy length.
A friendly wine, try with aged beef, spicy dishes or a hot curry
Good depth of fruit indicates the wine will benefit from careful cellaring for 8 - 10 years
