Apart from the blend of Chardonnay (70%)/Pinot Noir (30%), no details of age at any stage of making the wine; it is crisp and crunchy, with citrus, green apple and a touch of strawberry, before a long, dry finish. Rating 89 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (MAR/2010)
Winery Tasting Notes
The grapes were harvested early in the season, hand picked and then gently whole bunch pressed to preserve the finesse and freshness of the fruit. Time on yeast lees, both in barrel and tank, added texture and complexity.
The result is an elegant and refreshing sparkling wine displaying green apple, pear, and strawberry aromas.
The palate has a soft and creamy textured feel with sweet brioche flavours, balanced acidity and a creamy mousse bead.
