Sauvignon blanc in New Zealand moves through a variety of styles and this wine can be defined as "Sauvignon Blanc of grownups".
This wine has the combination of minerality and richness which sets it apart and adds to its sophistication. As befits the house style, the wine is dry but mouthfilling and offers a different experience to the often OTT New Zealand style.

There’s a richness and ripeness in this perfume, very attractive, tropical-scented with some freshening scents of citrus and quince. Slick in texture, very fresh and clean though, finishes a little short but very pure and driven with a weighty concentration that makes the wine feel complex and more serious. The 2013 Sauvignon Blanc offers a lovely citrus fruit character – lemon & grapefruit – with floral notes, white blossoms and a touch of honeysuckle. Made to a light-bodied delicate style, it is quite lifted and aromatic with a long and refreshing finish. Rating 89 - Drink by 2016, Lisa Perrotti-Brown, erobert.com.au (JAN/2015).\
Winery Tasting Notes
Juicy. Ripe and rich Sauvignon with notes of frangipani, passionfruit and florals. This is a complex wine with a long mineral, structured finish. There is some barrel ferment influence but nothing intrusive or overbearing. Texturally, the wine is satisfying; the creaminess on the mid-palate gives way to a long mineral finish.
