Quite the wine !
2012 was a small berried year and this has resulted in an intense, delicious wine with surprisingly length and a peacock’s tail of fruit and floral flavours.

“A lively but weighty wine with hints of citrus, pears and nuts, and a textural, dry finish. Beautifully balanced with an attractive aftertaste. Drinking well. 4.5 stars ”
Charmian Smith, Otago Daily Times March 2013
Winery Tasting Notes
Think about some oriental spice, perhaps a hint of citrus zest and the smell of warm pie crust, wrapped about the rose scented, white stone fruits. The overall impression is that of a fulsome, viscose wine with satisfying weight on the palate and admirable length.
We would suggest this as an aperitif but offers easily enough mouthfeel to handle lightly spiced Asian dishes and gentle curries. This is a dry Pinot Gris which makes for a refreshing style with the “second glass appeal” which we adore.
