Eight Uncles is a tribute to Jane and David's son Angus and his eight gregarious uncles. Those old boys love a good Barossa Shiraz. Eight Uncles is released every vintage and is masterfully structured, consistently representing a premium wine.

The colour isn't deep, but the hue is good; its maturation in French oak is reflected on the bouquet and medium-bodied palate alike; black fruits, savoury spices and soft tannins come together well under the umbrella. Fox Gordon Eight Uncles Shiraz - Rating 90 - Drink by 2017 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion
We've stressed it many times, but the key to making top level Barossa red is to pick the grapes when they are "in the zone" - not over-ripe. Here we have an exemplary wine that delivers rich varietal and regional flavour while remaining ultra-fresh. As a bonus there are intriguing dried herb notes and the tannins are fine. Winery Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red
Bright and alluring, rich cherry and mulberry aromas integrate beautifully, with a touch of aniseed and fennel.
Superb mouth filling fruit flavour on the mid palate with added length and a lingering finish. Flavours of mulberry and dark plum shine, along with coffee and hickory tones from the burgundian style of oak barrels used.
