As a family winery, traditions form an important part of the McWilliam's story. Almost a century ago, a tradition was introduced to name select parcels of our wines in honour of friends, family and royalty. 'Frederick', a name first seen on our labels in the late 1950s, makes its 21st century debut with this rich Hilltops Shiraz. The wine's perfumed black spice aromas are supported by succulent red fruit flavours and a savoury tannin mid palate.

Alluring dark cherry, black spice and plum aromas underpinned by biscuit and liquorice characters.
Medium bodied with vibrant spicy dark cherry fruits. The palate has disarming concentration and richness, true and typical of the Barwang style, finishing with rounded tannins and focused acidity.
Ready for immediate consumption but will reward up to 7 years with careful cellaring from year of vintage .
