The Montevecchio range is inspired by the everyday drinking wines of Italy which are generally fresh and vibrant - often regional field blends - and designed to be enjoyed in their youth, while still showing structure and texture. Components and percentages of blends will vary from vintage to vintage, depending on the season, but Montevecchio wines are always made from Italian grape varieties.
- VIC - Heathcote
Heathcote lagrein made in a rose style. This wine was formerly known as Montevecchio Rosso.
It’s ‘out there’. It’s wild. It’s all dried hay and green grass, balsamic vinegar, earth and cherry. It swings you this way and that; like, love, hate, OK, not sure. It’s like a teenage relationship. Rating 85 - Drink by 2016, Campbell Mattinson, winefront.com.au (JUL/2014).
Winery Tasting Notes
Lively purple fruit and floral aromatics and a juicy, plush palate with a hint of hebs and a dry finish make this rosato a perfect 'go to' wine for the summer months.
