The Montevecchio range is inspired by the everyday drinking wines of Italy which are generally fresh and vibrant - often regional field blends - and designed to be enjoyed in their youth, while still showing structure and texture. Components and percentages of blends will vary from vintage to vintage, depending on the season, but Montevecchio wines are always made from Italian grape varieties.

Took a sip of this and thought ‘Yep! This is exactly the kind of wine we need to make more of!’ It’s a blend of Nero d’Avola, Negroamaro, Lagrein and Sagrantino.
Strong colour. Meaty and a bit stinky (reductive), pepper, blue and purple fruit, dried herb, licorice. Medium bodied, dry, interesting, complex. Lovely balance throughout. Rubbery reduction runs through it, but as a kind of smoke trail from a great start, to a solid finish. The blend of grapes imbues it with a sophistication that belies its price. Love it. This medium-bodied wine has plenty of supple fruit, soft tannins and is designed to be enjoyed in it's youth.
