Winery Tasting Notes

Adelaide Winemakers `Landcross` Sauvignon Blanc 2015 (6 x 750mL), Adelaide, SA.

Bright and fresh with green colour and light straw tint. Youthful. An aromatic style with tropical fruit and light herbal note with a green apple edge. Medium palate weight with bright green fruits and a citric, lime juice nuance. Subtle texture on the palate adds a deliciousness. Baest with chilli crab, fish or freshly shucked oysters. Good aperitif drink as well.

Adelaide Winemakers `Landcross` Shiraz 2014 (6 x 750mL), Adelaide, SA.

Deep garnet with a bright purple tint. Fresh and bright lift of spice leads into red fruits and berries. A touch of oak as an extra layer. Medium bodied with mid-palate filling fruit and a strong acid backbone. Subtle use of oak lingers on the back of the palate. While short to medium term cellaring could be handled, this wine is best enjoyed fresh. Best with steak, a hearty stew or any good red meat cooked up on the barbie!

Adelaide Winemakers `Landcross` Chardonnay 2015 (6 x 750mL), Adelaide, SA.

Bright honey with fresh green tint. Aromatic, floral stone fruits with a citric note running through and complex, nutty undertones adding an extra layer. Bright fruit notes open this wine with light complexity filling out the mid palate. This richness seamlessly blends into the crisp acidity driving the wine home. Drink now but with the potential to bring out developed characters with some bottle age. Matched well with white meats, the acidity and nutty complexity could see it hitting through a creamy dish. A chicken and mushroom pasta would marry up nicely!
