“Clear. Very mild aromas of toasted tomato bread do not suggest gin and follow through on a round, silky entry to a dry-yet-fruity medium-to-full body with raisin bread and cereal notes followed by tangy citrus custard and piney floral juniper on the long zesty, peppery finish. A very well made, mild juniper gin that will be great in martinis."- Beverage Testing Institute, International Review of Spirits 2010
2010 The Beverage Testing Institute International Review of Spirits Award: Gold Medal. Rated: 92 points (Exceptional)
2009 San Francisco World Spirits Competition: Double Gold Medal.
2009 New York Spirits Awards: Best of Class.
2009 The International Wine and Spirit Competition: Silver Medal, Best in Class.
In the year 1782, the highest quality in vodkas and liqueurs was associated with those produced by the J.A. Baczewski family distillery of Lwow, Poland. Baczewski’s vodkas were simply the best. They were distilled in a very controlled fashion, from tried and true recipes. Baczewski bought only the highest quality ingredients and used exclusively pure, delicious, deep artesian well water.
Today, MONOPOLOWA is still produced by the J.A. Baczewski company according to its original recipe. The depth of flavour and complexity of character are attributable to a ``back-to-basics`` tradition of being distilled from potatoes.
