Expert Reviews

Cliff Edge Shiraz seems to have stepped up a gear of late. If you shop around, it can be sensational buying. This release is. It’s a pearler. So delicious and yet as complex as you might wish. Black cherry, aniseed, jubey blackberry and rounds of black pepper/dried woody spice. In the mould, in the groove, yet alive with succulent flavour. Satisfying, finely-tannic, almost grapey tannin. Go-to wine par excellence. Rating 94 - Drink by 2026+, Campbell Mattinson, (JAN/2015).

Winery Tasting Notes

Dark garnet with purple rim.

Black cherry, blueberry and mixed spice. Violet florals in the background. Hints of pepper and soft oak spice are well integrated with the dark lush fruits.

Blueberry, cherry and blackberry fruits are dominant with beautifully interwoven spice and pepper. Medium bodied silky tannins balance will with the fruits and fine oak. Good length with and spicy savoury finish.
