The 2010 is entirely estate grown on the eastern granite slopes of Mount Langi Ghiran. A dry, warm summer with a cooler January/February led to a long ripening period and excellent grape maturity. The wine includes a significant whole bunch maceration component, building on the perfume and delicate aromatics. The 2010 Cliff Edge Shiraz is showing terrific intensity, fruit flavours, complex spice and balanced tannins. With an excellent balance of finesse and depth, this wine is pointing the way for Cliff Edge Shiraz in terms of finely structured palate and fruit intensity.
