Sweet, multi layered fruit, chocolate, fresh plum – a complete flavour spectrum. Excited to hold it in my mouth. Sparky.

Matured 11 months in American oak, 60% new, the 2011 The Boxer Shiraz gives a deep garnet-purple color and aromas of creme de cassis, blackberry preserves and mocha plus an undercurrent of vanilla and cedar. The palate is very generously fruited, offering a whopping mouthful of spiced blackberry flavors with a low to medium level of silky tannins, enlivening acid and a long finish. Rating 89 Drink this one now to 2016+. Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, eRobertParker.com (DEC/2012)
Winery Tasting Notes
Wow, this wine is definitely punching above its weight, and no wonder - the Fruit Weight is 73%, so it is almost at Party wine level! The power of the fruit is so enjoyable. It has a massive array of flavours, and awesome intensity but the thing that really finishes the wine off is the creamy layers and smooth mouth feel. It’s so voluptuous. Sweet, multi layered fruit, chocolate, fresh plum – a complete flavour spectrum. Excited to hold it in my mouth. Sparky
