Winery Tasting Notes
Grand Vintage Rosé 2002 is mature, harmonious and compelling. Flavours of cherry, plum and fresh fig combine with the savours of wild strawberries, blueberries and blackberries. Seven years of aging have enriched the subtle malted smokiness and the warm spicy notes of clove, cinnamon and liquorice. Botanical and floral notes: mint, anise, honeysuckle and, rose.
On the palate, the construction is precise. The delicately enveloped body of the wine rests on a dense, linear structure. The deliberately light dosage ensures a final note of deliciously astringent precision and crispness, with refreshing notes of cherry and herbal tea.
51% Pinot Noir (of which 27% red wine), 28% Chardonnay, 21% Pinot Meunier.
