Appellation: Nuits St Georges A.C., Côte de Nuits, Bourgogne, France
The wine displays delicious aromas of red fruits and walnuts. Elegant and rounded, long-lasting on the finish with liquorice notes, this is already a very attractive wine.
- FRA - Burgundy
Black cherry and blackberry notes permeate this supple-textured red, which is rich for the vintage, with a juicy quality. Just tails off a little on the finish. Best from 2011 through 2019.Rating 89 -Bruni Sanderson Wine Spectator Online 2010
Winery Tasting Notes
Pinot Noir 100%
Ruby-red in colour.
This Nuits-Saint-Georges 2007 reveals subtle aromas of ripe fruit with a pronounced liquorice note.
An elegant wine with finesse and soft tannins.
This is already a very pleasant wine to drink but will be even more enjoyable over the next 5 years.
Traditional open vat fermentation followed by 10 to 12 months ageing in oak barrels.
The most southerly of the villages of the Côte de Nuits this region makes up the other half of the Côte d’Or. There is even an equivalent to the Hospices de Beaune Auction called the Hospices de Nuits Auction although it rarely inspires as much interest as its neighbour to the south. The wine is firm and usually requires some time before allowing its Pinot character to shine through.
