In 2011 Pizzini quietly released a new range of wines under the Lana label, made by Joel Pizzini. Joel is using some old winemaking techniques to make these wines so that some of them show more funky, earthy and savoury notes to the wines in the Pizzini range. These wines are made to be enjoyed with food, especially dishes with Italian flavours.

Pale quartz; is in no-holds-barred prosecco style, akin to plunging into an ice bath; in the right context, perfect, in the wrong, painful. James Halliday, Rating 90, 11th July 2013
Winery Tasting Notes
Light straw with an olive hue.
Aromas include yeasty and melon notes, as the wine opens up in the glass, the nose has smacks of citrus blossom, fresh lime, Wisteria flower, Nashi pear and green apples.
The palate is refreshingly fizzy with gentle, lemony acidity. The wine has a lovely length and balance.
