In every year since Kilikanoon released its first wines, the very best of the Clare Valley’s terroir has been captured in the Oracle Shiraz. Made traditionally from older vine fruit grown along our golden hillside in Leasingham, it continues to display the opulence, unique regional expression and varietal power the area is so famous for.
The 2010 vintage was another exceptional one in the valley, characterised by warm days and cooler evenings, delivering individual Shiraz parcels of elevated flavour, colour intensity and maturation potential.
Low yielding Shiraz, carefully hand selected from a number of aged parcels from our Golden Hillside vineyards, were fully ripened, traditionally vinified, basket pressed and aged for 24 months in new and one year old French hogsheads.

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2010 Shiraz Oracle is redolent of blueberry preserves, macerated black fruits, cassis and aniseed with a touch of Provencal herbs and mint. Medium-bodied, crisp and framed by medium to firm velvety tannins, it is fresh and finishes long. It is a more restrained, elegant style of wine that should age wonderfully. Drink it from 2015 to 2026+. Rating 95+, Drink 2015 - 2026 - Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate (FEB/2013)
Once again, impenetrable colour, yet there is a lift to the perfume redolent of fresh crushed blackberry, vine sap, mocha and spicy oak that is alluring; the palate is thickly textured on entry, with juicy acidity providing lift and lightness on the long and fine-grained tannin finish. Rating 95 - Drink by 2025 - Ben Edwards, Wine Companion (MAR/2013)

Brick red in colour with youthful crimson hues.
A nose dominated by dark chocolate notes, incense and cherries, complicated, brooding yet sublimely focused.
Well defined and textural palate, the flavours of dark chocolate, cherries and exotic spices carry over beautifully from the nose, all ensconced in fine French oak in a lingering and satisfying finish.
