Petit Chablis AC
Petit Chablis is the signature wine of the general Chablis region. It is still quite delimited and particular, having to come from the slopes (which they share with the tiny, more exclusive Premier and Grand Cru sites) either side of the Serein River valley in which the town of Chablis itself sits.

Winery Tasting Notes
All Brocard Petit Chablis comes from their own vineyards around the winery at Prehy, giving them the opportunity to make a wine not only with Petit Chablis’ hallmark style, of shape, structure and zippy finish, but also with a real personality of its own. This is a Brocard Chablis and reflects the soil it comes from! There’s little ‘complexing’ – no batonnage or oak - used here. 2011 is a very good vintage of perfect grapes, certainly with generosity this year, but with a higher nervy acidity than in recent vintages.
The aromas are of cereal, mineral and citrus.
The palate is tight but not severe and goes on to that lively cleansing Chablis finish.
This wine is beautiful now, but will easily cellar and improve for some years yet.
Chablis is a crisp dry white which embraces specific food matches, and is ideal where white meats and fish are involved, whether in a simple even raw form or with another, say dairy or light earthy influence. At the same time, Chablis is also relaxed and adaptable wine for many more, even challenging, foods. Chablis just works!
