The 2011 vintage was yet another terrific one in Margaret River with plenty of sunshine for close to perfect ripening with warm autumn days providing ripe concentrated wines. There was no problem getting the Cabernet Sauvignon grapes flavour and tannin ripe with balanced crops and canopies. The grapes for this wine were sourced from our own Margaret River vineyards.
The 2011 Juniper Crossing Cabernet Sauvignon is made as a bright fruit driven style with very moderate oak influence. It is a wine to enjoy now and for at least the next 8 years.

First release of a varietal cabernet sauvignon under this label. There's nothing flashy about it but it has a presence. Peanuts, blackcurrant, leather and dried Italian herbs. Bright acidity and bright fruit, but firmly tethered by tannin. Does enough to impress. Rating 93, Drink by 2022, CM, Australian Wine Companion (DEC/2013)
Winery Tasting Notes
Vibrant ruby red in colour
This wine shows true regional and varietal fruit characteristics of blackcurrant, raspberry, red cherry, red currants and plum along with hints of mint, tobacco leaf and dried herbs.
The palate is juicy smooth with a good depth of mixed berry fruit and plum backed by elegant fine grained tannins and a touch of dusty spicy mocha vanilla oak.
