Two blocks of the best Pinot Noir were harvested by hand and fermented in old French oak. Following tirage and secondary fermentation in the bottle, the wine had more than three years ageing on yeast lees to develop complexity and sophistication.

A beautiful sparkling rose in a stylish gift box!

Expert Reviews

This is a more savoury Jansz rose, reflective of the cool '11 season in notes of tomato, pink pepper and mushroom, amplified by the wet wood character of barrel fermentation. Its core of strawberry, cherry and watermelon fruit remains intact, as does its silky, creamy texture, pretty medium salmon hue and persistent finish. A vintage to drink young. Winery Tasting Notes

Pale colour resembling rose petals or pink diamonds.

Powerful aromas of toasted brioche, quince blossom & rose petals.

A beautiful rich palate of vibrant red fruits and Turkish delight, matched with creaminess, a hint of pepperberry and truffles. A touch of fine tannin coupled with fine natural acidity offers a lingering, mouth-watering finish.

Winery Profile

Jansz Tasmania vineyard lies in the Tamar Valley in the heart of the Pipers River region in north eastern Tasmania. With a mantle of red basalt soils and a cool climate moderated by the proximity of Bass Strait, the Jansz Tasmania vineyards are ideal for allowing grapes to ripen slowly and develop the lingering acidity essential to produce a premium sparkling wine. Jansz was Tasmania’s first sparkling wine to be made according to the traditional méthod champenoise and, as the only Tasmanian specialist solely devoted to the art of sparkling winemaking, Jansz Tasmania has since come to describe the technique used in creating each of their definitive wines as Méthode Tasmanoise.
