Good buying option here under the Plantagenet Hazard Hill label.
It gets the mix pretty right. Sweet cherry-plum fruit flavours, medium in weight, good hit of savoury interest – pepper and cloves – and enough tannin to keep it tidy. It’s for drinking now but it will go all right over the medium term too. In fact it might surprise in the cellar. Balanced to a tee. Winery Tasting Notes
The 2011 Shiraz has ripe plum and bramble fruits with mocha oak notes on the nose.
The palate is plush, soft and supple with fleshy fruit notes of blackberry and a dash of spice finishing with structured silky fine tannins and a soft warm finish.
