Expert Reviews

Pretty violet smell over blue and purple fruits, some aniseed and gum leaf, plus chocolate. Medium bodied, fleshy feel, ripe tannin, plum sauce and spice, has a slight vinegar edge which I often taste in MR cabernets at a certain price point. Why is it so? Finish is good too. I like the tannin and chocolaty goodness. That prickly feel, though, takes the edge off (or puts one on) an otherwise excellent wine. Others may not be so sensitive. Rating 89 - Drink by 2020, Gary Walsh, winefront.com.au (FEB/2016).
