“ Rich and creamy Sauvignon Blanc that makes up for in complexity what it lacks in fruit focus. capsicum and gooseberry flavours with a seasoing of nutty yeast character and the merest hint of toasty oak. An impressive and quite weighty texture with a lingering finish.”

“Hand-picked fruit from a select block, fermented in 3 y.o. French oak to 13.0% alc. and 1.1 g/L rs, the wine aged 8 months with regular batonnage in barrel. Pale straw-yellow colour with green hues, pale on edge. The nose is elegantly concentrated with aromas of herbs, nectarines and gooseberries interwoven with oak spices and savoury notes. Dry on palate, this has intense flavours of nectarines, gooseberries and oak spices that unfold to show grassy and nutty layers. The wine has weight and body, the barrel fermentation adding richness on the palate. A phenolic textured line with bracing acidity is the backbone, which leads to a crisp, dry and savoury herb finish. Intense herb, grass and nectarine fruitiness is framed in a fine, textured palate along with oak elements and brisk acidity. Match with poultry and grilled or roasted seafood over the next 3-4 years”. 17.0-/20 Mar 2012 Raymond Chan
