Winery Tasting Notes
Considering the price of some New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc's on the market this is a steal at the price. Fresh and just arrived, lovely clean & crisp flavours.
The wine is a pale straw in colour with green edges. Fresh varietal aromas of citrus and gooseberry with delicate floral notes greet the nose. Clean and fresh with a lovely texture and mouthful of flavours including citrus with hints of tropical fruits.
It is this unique combination of soil, climate and geography that gives Gunn Estate grapes a natural advantage before they've even been introduced to the winemaker. A wine with wide appeal, pure fruit and freshness.
Sauvignon Blanc is a very food-friendly wine and terrific for appetizers such as artichoke dip, veggie dishes or dips, garlic or Italian seasonings in creamy sauces, fragrant salads - like Greek, Caesar or Garden, Thai food, fish (sushi), poultry and the list goes on.
