Portee Station has a long history, as one of the earliest areas of settlement in South Australia, outside of the city of Adelaide. Situated in outback country, the magnificent homestead was built in 1873 on a floodplain near the River.

Winery Tasting Notes
Deep cherry in colour.
Cabernet Sauvignon has lovely aromas and flavours of blackcurrant, cassis and spice.
The rich palate is full of black fruits accompanied by hints of soft oak that lingers on the finish.
A perfect accompaniment to roast lamb or lamb chops.
The fruit was crushed and de-stemmed, before being fermentation in stainless steel tanks for seven days. To ensure good colour and full flavour, the wine was carefully pumped over three times a day. The wine was matured in a combination of American and French oak hogheads for twelve months before bottling.
