- VIC - Mornington Peninsula
Hand-picked, whole bunch-pressed, 100% barrel fermentation of juice with light solids, some lees stirring, 10 months in oak. Has excellent drive and carry, length not an issue. Does, however, lack the depth of the very best Mornington Peninsula chardonnays. Rating 93 - Drink by 2019 James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (FEB/2014)
Winery Tasting Notes
Stonefruits with a citrus lift, mineral edge with mealy notes and creamy barrel ferment characters.
Tight mineral palate with stonefruits and mealy flavours giving way to a rich and creamy mid palate. This is balanced by cedar oak and a long and lingering aftertaste.
This wine should be enjoyed over the next 3 to 5 years.
