“Full yellow colour with golden tints. Very rich, nutty, complex bouquet with lots of aldehydes and toasty, bready and yeasty smells. Loads of complexity, lots of cracked yeast character. A very multifaceted wine and nicely dry on the finish, which is soft and rich and carries superbly. Very good wine.”

“Avize, Cramant, Oger, and Le Mesnil-Sur-Oger are the most famous villages on the Côte des Blancs, especially its grand cru vineyards. It is imported and distributed by Howard Park, hence the modest price. Green-gold, it has an array of baker’s shop spices woven through the white flesh stone fruit, the finish clean, fresh and lingering.”flavours, and attractive nutty/spicy yeast influences; good length and balance.”

Winery Tasting Notes
Based in the village of Avize in the Côte de Blancs.
With full yet fine flavours, the 2006 vintage shows a round freshness which is characteristic of Grand Cru Chardonnay champagnes. With fine and elegant aromas, this vintage reveals its richness and complexity on the palate.
Rich, balanced and ripe. Well opened and slightly menthol taste.
Firstly very minerally which turns into more floral flavours. A mature and complex roundness reveals itself after a few minutes which is a sign of the aging. Then, above a persistent freshness, one starts to feel the evolution of the Chardonnay through very delicate, mineral and floral notes.
Always excellent as an aperitif, this vintage will perfectly accompany fish.
