Expert Reviews

Partial barrel fermentation has proven a positive. It's zingy with grapefruit/citrus fruit, made bolder by notes of flint and lemongrass. Truth is it needs a softening influence, a textural quality; it would have been brutish without it. The end result feels sleek and supple with plenty of length. Rating 92 - Campbell Mattinson, Drink by 2016, Wine Companion (MAR/2015)

Winery Tasting Notes

Displays vibrant aromas of lychee and gooseberry.

Waxy citrus leaf and guava feature on the palate. The mouth feel is fleshy and well balanced with natural acidity persisting into a crisp mineral finish.

The wine is ready to be enjoyed now, but will develop a richer mouth feel over the next few years.

Food Matching

Fillet of dhufish, poached in citrus court bouillon served on potato galette with cardamom and anise dressing.

3-4 years.
