A new addition to the Fox Gordon stable - the fruit for this wine hails from an Adelaide Hills vineyard in the subregion of Kersbrook.

Tash Mooney is very particular about pinot gris, treating the fruit from this single vineyard at the northern end of the Adelaide Hills to a long period on juice lees to build texture. Contact with grape skins has infused a pretty pale salmon hue. Enticing nashi pear and grapefruit pith flavours are encased in finely textured mouth feel and zesty freshness. Full-on blush-pink; the back label badly needed a spell check; this to one side, the degree of colour pickup is unusual for grigio (normally ex skin contact for gris), but the end result is fresh and fruity. Rating 90 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion 2015
