Lifted blackcurrant and ripe plums greet the nose with dark chocolate, mint and toasty oak being detected. The palate shows ripe berry fruit, attractive herbal overtones, charry oak and plenty of firm tannin.

Winery Tasting Notes
Continuing the tradition of succulent and perfumed Merlot from magnificent Porepunkah Vineyard, the Feathertop Merlot is a lovely creature. Delightful floral notes of violets, blackcurrant and blackberry are balanced by warm chocolatey tones of fruitcake and vanilla. Over this, an earthy, truffle-like influence adds complexity and interest.
An attractive, dark berry fruit driven palate with fine integrated oak and lingering flavours. A generous sweet even chocolatey mid-palate is set off beautifully by ripe, refined tannins.
