Overview

Dense, bright red colour with a nose sharing aromas of ripe mulberries with spices and cedar. Hints of freshly grated nutmeg are evident also. A typical Langhorne Creek earthiness with just a hint of anise leads to a generous and mouth filling palate with wild blackberry bush flavours. Fine, powdery tannins provide nice structure.

Expert Reviews

Red-purple, with some development on the rim; gently ripe cassis/plum fruit has had a little too much oak thrown in its direction, but it's a pleasant, easy drinking style. Rating 88 - Drink by 2016, James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (JAN/2013).

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

Brothers in Arms has a history of family grape growing spanning five generations, with Guy Adams' family purchasing the "Metala" property 125 years ago and planting the first vines - Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, in 1891.

Langhorne Creek in South Australia lies on the shores of Lake Alexandrina just a few miles from the Southern Ocean and is without question red wine country.

Guy and his wife Liz head up a dedicated team that are proud to produce wines of balance, structure and texture that are true to the Estate and true to the Langhorne Creek region.
