That's a mouthful on the label, but I could eat one and happily wash it down with a Leading one." 8.6 /10 Max Crus - Grape Expectations (April/2010)

"This Cabenrnet Sauvignon displays cherry and and blackberry aromas with a hint of herbaceousness, spice and vanilla. The sweet, ripe fruit on the palate also shows a touch of mintiness and is well integrated with mouth coating tannins.David Cumming, - Central Western Daily, Cellar Press (April/2010)

Wine Background

The Formby & Adams label reflects the Cabernet Dimension of Brothers in Arms. In 1891 William Formby wielded his leading team of Clydesdale horses into action, planting the first 2 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon. Today his great, great grandson Guy Adams continues the family’s grape growing traditions, consistently leading the way through a mix of traditional and modern vineyard management and winemaking practices that enable him to produce the best possible wines from this famous vineyard.

Winery Profile

Brand Profile Image

Brothers in Arms has a history of family grape growing spanning five generations, with Guy Adams' family purchasing the "Metala" property 125 years ago and planting the first vines - Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon, in 1891.

Langhorne Creek in South Australia lies on the shores of Lake Alexandrina just a few miles from the Southern Ocean and is without question red wine country.

Guy and his wife Liz head up a dedicated team that are proud to produce wines of balance, structure and texture that are true to the Estate and true to the Langhorne Creek region.
