The 2011 'Annabel' gives notes of fresh lemons, lime zest and grapefruit with hints of passion fruit and fresh dill. Medium bodied, it offers a great intensity of vibrant citrus and herbal flavours in the mouth with refreshing acidity and a long finish. Drinking now, it should remain good until 2014.

The 2011 vintage was partly harvested by hand and 20 per cent barrel-fermented. Full of personality, it shows considerable complexity, with rich, ripe, tropical fruit aromas and flavours, a gentle seasoning of oak, and a crisp, dry finish. Great drinkability.

Winery Tasting Notes
Staete Landt 2011 ‘Annabel’ Sauvignon Blanc has an intensely aromatic classic nose with nectarines, tropical and citrus characters.
In the mouth a soft velvety texture with abundant peaches and grapefruit flavours with chalky & slaty characters, rounding off in an elegant mineral finish.
This wine is drinking well from now onwards but will increase in complexity and reward cellaring for up to 5 years.
