This is the 8th vintage of the Premium range of Rieslings, a terroir wine from Helm Wines and neighbouring growers – the Lustenberger family vineyard. Only perfect specially-selected fruit is used to create the Premium Riesling, and the wine is only released under the Premium black label if it reaches a quality benchmark. Since 2005 they have collected 14 trophies at regional and capital city wine shows.
- NSW - Canberra District
- New South Wales
The wine opens with a strikingly fragrant and flowery bouquet, apple and lime blossom to the fore. The palate is intensely flavoured and prodigiously long, yet retains all the elegance and finesse of great riesling. Its very low pH of 2.9 enhances the minerality that provides structure, and guarantees and long life. Rating 96 - Drink by 2018 - James Halliday, Australian Wine Companion (SEP/2013)
