Overview

Appellation: Bourgogne Blanc A.C.

On the palate I see some nice white peach flavours and find a nice extra salty dimension to the flavour and a very good level of extract too for a Bourgogne. A nice long length to the wine with a wonderful smooth finish. Well-balanced and good harmony between fruit and oak.

FRA - Burgundy

Winery Tasting Notes

Aroma

The nose is wide and quite interesting. Aromas of stone fruits, toast, and oak are lifted through the wine

Winery Profile

This is the first vintage of Chanterives, a negociant-vinificateur as one half of the team behind it, Tomoko Kuriyama, explained, “We work with the raw materials, grapes, crafting wines from the beginning compared to those who work with must or finished wine”.

The other half of the winemaking team is Guillaume Bott who has made wine at Etienne Sauzet and at Domaine Simon Bize where he has earned admiration for his excellent work. During harvest he continues at Bize while the dedicated Tomoko is in daily charge of Chanterives’ operations. Tomoko too is a highly regarded Oenologist who has made award winning Pinot Noir in Germany.
