2014 was a standout for these varieties, particularly the Semillon. Hot and dry, with cool nights. Ripening was rapid but consistent, allowing full yet delicate flavours to develop with crisp natural acidity, and bringing harvest forward a week earlier than normal.

Winery Tasting Notes

Lifted nectarine and gooseberry with hints of cut grass provide a fine and delicate aroma with beautiful floral characters also evident. This wine is a classic example of this blend, the Semillon in particular was spectacular this year with savoury influences such as cut grass and fresh hay providing the foundation for the floral notes of citrus blossom, musk and rose hip. The nose is rounded out with essences of lime and gooseberry.

Fresh and tight with abundant fruit weight and purity. The texture and flavoursome lime and cut grass characters are exceptional and dominate the palate. Hints of green apple and fresh grapefruit contribute to a delicious long finish.
