Expert Reviews

Beautiful aromas of cashew and brioche with a light stone fruit. It's very intense and powerful from the start. The palate though shows a degree of delicacy that caresses the excellent fruit through to a long finish. A most stylish and impressive chardonnay with a precise long finish Rating 93 - Ray Jordan - WA Wine Guide 2013

Winery Tasting Notes

Aroma

The early harvest date in 2011 meant we were able to capture the chardonnay grape's complete freshness and natural acidity. Lifted and tight, the nose initially exhibits clean citrus characters with hints of mealyness and stone fruits. On closer inspection however, beautiful complex nuances of match-head (from the carefully managed solids fermentation), white peach, savoury oak and honeydew melon can be recognised. Subtle notes of green pistachio nut, flint and lemon round out the nose.

The successful completion of the 6 week epic flight ended with Brian landing at Langley Park in Perth on May 13th 1990. The two wines from Tigers Tale are in recognition of Brian Edwards, who made his dream a reality.
