Winery Tasting Notes
Margaret River, located in the southwest corner of Western Australia, is one of Australia's premier wine regions. Its unique terroir combines a maritime climate with well-drained gravel soils to produce wines of elegance, finesse and depth.
This Shiraz is full bodied, with ripe, spicy black cherry fruit characters, hints of liquorice, and elegant savoury nuances. Partial barrel fermentation in American barriques has added a cedary note with charry overtones.
The palate has excellent weight, depth and intensity of flavour. The finish is long and satisfying, with silky fine tannins. Cellaring of five to seven years will serve to further increase the overall complexity of the wine.
